FAQs
What is the Niagen At-Home Injection Kit
The Niagen At-Home Injection Kit provides a prescription formulation of Niagen® designed for subcutaneous injection outside of a clinic setting, under medical supervision and guidance from a licensed healthcare provider. Niagen Bioscience is not the manufacturer or compounder of this product. Compounding is performed by a licensed 503B outsourcing facility.
How does the at-home injection program work?
After purchasing the At-Home Injection Kit, patients will be prompted to complete a medical intake questionnaire. Once the questionnaire is complete it will be reviewed by a licensed physician who determines whether treatment is appropriate. If prescribed, the injection kit is shipped along with instructions and provided medical guidance for proper administration.
What type of injection is used?
The Niagen At-Home Injection Kit is designed for subcutaneous administration — injections into the fatty tissue layer beneath the skin. Your licensed provider will determine the appropriate administration method. The most common injection site for subcutaneous injection is in the abdomen.
Do I still medical supervision if I inject at home?
Medical supervision is provided through a licensed telehealth provider. Even though injections may be performed at home, the treatment requires a prescription and ongoing management by a licensed healthcare professional. If you have any questions regarding the treatment you can reach out to your provider by navigating to your account, then to your order. Within your order there is a chat button for you to communicate directly with the provider who approved your prescription.
Is the at-home injection the same as Niagen IV?
No. While both deliver Niagen®, Niagen IV is administered intravenously in a clinical setting, while the at-home kit uses subcutaneous injections that can be administered outside the clinic, with medical guidance.
How often do I use the injection kit?
Dosage and frequency depend on the treatment plan established by your healthcare provider.
Who should not use Niagen injectable therapy?
Individuals who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing certain medical conditions—including prior (or current) cancer diagnosis, liver disease, or kidney disease—should consult their healthcare provider before use. Children should not use Niagen Plus. Only a qualified medical professional can determine eligibility.
Is the Niagen At-Home Injection Kit available in my state?
Availability varies by state. Some states have restrictions on the shipment of compounded prescription products. Eligibility will be confirmed as part of the telehealth consultation process. Currently, the Niagen At-Home Injection Kit is not available to ship to Alabama, California, Iowa, Massachusetts, Texas, Washington, and West Virginia.
